The idea of working from home is spreading quickly through families worldwide. Most people begin to think about taking this low cost risk when they involve themselves with a reputable company with a solid track record and a valuable product or service people need. Just think about it for a minute. The ability to work when you want, as long as you want, without having to commute, spend money on gas or live the day to day stress of a 9-5 job. This is a very appealing business model to me. I am that person who does not handle authority very well-especially when that authority gets to dictate the pay I get regardless of how hard I work. You see, with a home based business model, I get to choose my pay, when I get a raise and how hard I would like to work. When building a business in the beginning, it is extremely important to work as hard as you can with productive work as opposed to busy work. Productive work is what will make you money for the long term. Busy work is a waste if time which has no guarantee. Of course in the long term, that so called busy work might pay off; yet, in the start of building a business from home it is crucial to use the phone and talk to real people and have actual conversations to build rapport and trust. This is the key to building a successful home based business.
Be your own Boss
How often do you sit around and thinking about what life would be like if you were your own boss? I am sure that everyone has either thought about it or took action and did it. So what would happen if everyone chose to be their own boss? Sometimes we as people can sabotage this type of dream by saying the wrong things to ourselves. Our mind can sometimes tell us that we our not good enough to run the show or it is easier to work for someone else. These are all lies and really depend on our own mindset to how we handle ourselves day to day. What we tend to think and feel about ourselves can play a huge role in the level of success we achieve in our lives. So how do we overcome such obstacles to make our dreams come true? Well, it really is not a hard task. The answer is to be able to push through our own fears about not being good enough and say; I am good enough, and start in that mindset. The small goals we set for ourselves can have an impact on personal growth.
Learning how to build a stable home based business is very much the same. When we start this journey, the phone is the best tool to use right away. However, most people fear the phone. My belief is the phone is scary to people because they do not know what to say to the person on the other end. Here is a clue; if you do not know what to say to the prospect or lead you are calling, then you might want to question the level of passion you have for your product or service. When people are passionate about what they do, they do not have a problem picking up the phone to give other people that information. I still to this day do not understand why people have so much trouble picking up the phone to call a complete stranger in a different state or even country for that matter. What is the worst that could happen? You get PAID! This is the best way hoe to take charge and be your own boss.
Motivation Equals Success
With everything we do in our lives, motivation is the biggest determining factor of whether something will get done or not. This could be any task no matter how large or small. Let’s say you own a home based business. What is defined to be the drive for success? How do we stay motivated to succeed? With your own business it is very easy to get sidetracked and become lazy. After all, you are the boss right? Procrastination takes its course embedding the mind with non-productive thoughts to steer away any and all motivation. So how do we stay motivated? Think about why you chose to be in business for yourself and what that very moment was like, what you were thinking. This is important. As you tap into the reasons why you went in business for yourself, the root of motivation appears. Staying focused on that is what keeps us in the game and building that business model. I resort back to this motivation on a daily basis by reminding myself like a ritual of what it is I want to achieve for not only myself, but for my family and others. When we learn to motivate other people, our own motivation will increase greatly. This is the fuel that keeps me motivated on a ongoing basis. How Too Productively Work your Home Business
There are different methods and strategies which people use when building a home business. Some use email marketing as their primary method while other people spend time writing articles much like this one. These two methods set out for long term results and are not as productive as using the phone, holding small business conferences (on or offline), or introducing a person face to face about your products or services. There are many professionals in the field who would flat out tell a person the only real way to develop an income right away when starting a business is to call prospects on the phone. People hear the word prospects and their head automatically lean towards "leads". "Oh, I have to purchase leads that are interested in what I am doing and selling." This is not the case. Many people waste a lot of time, money and effort focusing on a third party lead vendors to provide them with "so called" quality leads which in reality are no good to begin with. There are leads all over the internet for free staring people right in the face and they do not even realize it. When I wake up in the morning, grab my coffee and sit at my computer, I start looking at my extremely large lead database and any other high quality leads I can find which did not cost one dime! Once these leads are pulled up, I follow up with any appointments I have to contact these people then I start calling premium leads which I have not contacted yet. The information I give them on the phone is relevant to what they are currently doing for themselves. I offer them a chance to check out services and tools of real value which they are more then welcome to look at and try and no cost or obligation. Just check it out.
